e-shot feature update – June 2024

e-shot feature update – June 2024

On Thursday 13th June, e-shot saw its latest feature update. This release was predominately focused on minor fixes and enhancements, however there a couple of new features to talk about.

In this article we will cover some of the key changes and updates, but as always, the full details for the release will be available in our release notes when logged into e-shot.

New additions:

New campaigns user Permissions: There are two new permissions under the ‘Manage campaigns’ section. Administrators now can assign campaign groups and preferences. When one of these options is unticked, the user will not have the ability to add groups and or preferences to a campaign. This only affects the new campaigns experience.

Ability to enforce SSO for all users: Account admins can now enforce Single-Sign-On (SSO) for all uses in a subaccount. Similarly, to with MFA. If you haven't already, we strongly recommend you have one of these two options enabled to keep your e-shot account as secure as possible.

Enabling SSO for all users

Campaigns:

  • Previously, it was not possible to clone some campaigns in the campaign list view. This is no longer the case.

  • Designs that contained overly long links e.g. Yahoo Calander links were preventing you from being able to send a campaign. This is no longer the case.

  • Automated Series – Contact saved filters on the IF step were causing the step to fail. This is no longer the case.

  • Campaigns sent using the new campaigns experience were showing as ‘Active’ campaigns and could not be deleted or archived from reports. This is no longer the case.

Forms:

  • Preference descriptions can now be seen when assigning a preference to a form.

  • Preferences can now be reordered on a sign-up form. Previously they would only show in alphabetical order.

Moving a preferences position
  • Previously, users were unable to attach a double-opt in email to a sign-up form despite it containing signupconfirmationurl. This is no longer the case.

  • When a user updates their email address using the preference centre, an email notification will be sent to both the new and old email address for confirmation of the change.

Other changes:

  • Default values in a saved filter were previously treated as a null value. It is now treated as a null or blank value, meaning the filter now works without a change needing to be made to the value.

  • Changes to the styling of the SMS verification code message when logging to e-shot.

  • Users without admin permissions were previously able to update the main contact details for the account. This is no longer possible, only account admins are able to make these changes.

  • Certain campaign reports pages prevented the user from opening the Userway Accessibility Widget. This is no longer the case.

  • When cloning a design, any tags assigned will also be copied across.

That's all for this month's release, for the full release notes, please refer to the release notes section here, when you are logged into e-shot.
