Forfront named finalist in two SME National Business Awards 2025 categories
Forfront is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted as a finalist in two prestigious categories at the SME National Business Awards 2025:
Online Business of the Year and Service Excellence.
The SME National Business Awards are a nationally recognised celebration of the achievements and innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises across the UK. Open to companies with fewer than 250 employees, the awards shine a spotlight on businesses that demonstrate agility, customer focus, resilience, and outstanding performance in their sectors.
The 2025 awards ceremony will take place at the iconic QEII in Westminster, where hundreds of leading SMEs will gather to honour industry excellence and share in a celebration of entrepreneurial spirit.
Being named finalists in two highly competitive categories is a proud moment for Forfront, which has grown into a recognised leader in public sector comms, delivering exceptional online services to UK central and local government customers.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be named finalists for both Online Business of the Year and Service Excellence,” said Ron Kellermann, CEO of Forfront. “It’s a great honour and a real testament to the passion, innovation and dedication our team brings to everything we do. We’re grateful to our customers for their continued support, and proud of the entire Forfront team for making this recognition possible.”
Finalist – Online Business of the Year
The Online Business of the Year category recognises companies that are thriving in the digital landscape—leveraging the internet not only to grow but to deliver truly outstanding experiences. Finalists are judged on their performance, user experience, use of technology, and the role digital plays in customer engagement.
Forfront has seen impressive year-on-year growth, driven by a user-first approach to web design, strong digital marketing performance, dedication to accessibility and continuous investment in its digital platform. With more and more local authorities coming on board using the platform to engage and inform their residents.
“We’ve worked hard to create an online experience that’s not just functional, but genuinely helpful, responsive, and built around our customers,” said Dan Hare, Chief Commercial Officer. “It’s exciting to see our commitment to digital excellence recognised on a national stage.”
Finalist – Service Excellence
The Service Excellence award is one of the most hotly contested categories and honours businesses that consistently exceed customer expectations. Forfront was shortlisted based on its commitment to outstanding customer support, high client retention, proactive service delivery, and positive feedback across multiple channels.
“Great service is at the heart of everything we do,” continued Dan Hare, Chief Commercial Officer. “It’s not about scripts or checklists—it’s about genuinely listening, solving problems, and building trust. To be recognised for this at a national level is deeply rewarding.”
The company has implemented a number of customer-focused innovations, including live chat proactive support, a comprehensive self-service hub and in-product help and product tours to support both new and existing users, contributing to exceptionally high satisfaction and retention rates.
“We’ve always believed that the best businesses are built on relationships,” added Ron Kellermann, CEO. “These nominations are more than just recognition—they are a reflection of the trust our customers place in us, and that’s something we never take for granted.”
Looking ahead
As the company looks to the future, Forfront is continuing to invest in digital innovation, team development, and customer experience—paving the way for continued growth and service leadership. A key part of this journey is Tellos—our new engagement platform currently in development, which will further empower organisations to connect with their audiences in smarter, more meaningful ways.
“Being named a finalist in these awards is already a win for us,” said Dan Hare, Chief Commercial officer. “It validates the values we’ve built our business on and energises us for what comes next.”
The SME National Business Awards 2025 final takes place on Friday 7 November 2025 at QEII in Westminster. The team that supports e-shot is looking forward to joining fellow finalists from across the UK for a night of celebration, connection, and inspiration.
