Easily keep brands or business units separate

Unlock powerful organisation within your e-shot platform. Subaccounts enable you to seamlessly manage distinct brands, departments, internal units, or even multiple client accounts, all while maintaining crucial separation and control.

Why Use Subaccounts?

  • Maintain Distinct Identities: Each subaccount functions as a self-contained area with its own dedicated contacts, email designs, marketing campaigns, and performance reports. This ensures brand consistency and targeted messaging for each specific unit.

  • Empower Your Audience with Granular Opt-Outs: A key advantage!
Let recipients unsubscribe from one unit’s communications while staying connected with others. Users can choose to unsubscribe from communications from one particular subaccount (e.g., a specific newsletter or department update) without affecting their subscriptions to others. This enhances user satisfaction and reduces global unsubscribes.

  • Streamline Operations for Diverse Needs:

Enterprises & Government: Simplify data governance and team workflows by creating distinct areas for different departments, projects, or initiatives.

Agencies: Effortlessly manage multiple clients, each with complete data isolation and tailored campaign management.

  • Ensure GDPR Compliance: Subaccounts are designed to help you meet GDPR requirements by facilitating clear data segregation and specific consent management for different audiences.

Data protection

Contact data including custom fields, preferences and unsubscribes is unique to each sub-account. This enables each brand or department to independently manage opt-in and unsubscribes workflows independently and to restrict data access at a granular level.

Ethical Walls

Subaccounts ensure that personal data from one business unit is completely separated from others. This is very useful from a data protection perspective and helps larger organisations to give their operational units autonomy within their own areas.

User Management

Granular permissions over user access to contact data, designs, campaigns and analytics can be controlled at a subaccount level. This enables Administrators to provide read-only access to relevant stakeholders. Agencies use this to give clients access to reporting for their specific campaigns.

Contact count

Although subaccounts create dedicated areas for each business unit, contacts are only counted once across multiple sub-accounts. This means that you do not pay for duplication, but you can keep contact details separate.

Case study

Surrey County Council

"We've really upped our game when it comes to email and developed a much greater understanding of how to use email effectively. Previously, we might have been going through the motions, sending out emails to what was quite a high subscriber base but maybe not getting the open rates or engagement we wanted.

What we've done is really develop the content of those emails and understand how we can use email more effectively to engage that audience. Whether that's through nudge communications, engagement in consultations, or surveys to get people involved with what we're doing, we've moved forward in that space. This has helped us deliver our comms objectives as a team and in what is a really core channel."
