CRM - Groups View

The Group View page gives you a detailed look at an individual group, who's in it, how those contacts are distributed across engagement categories, and a full set of tools to manage them. You can access the Group View by clicking on any group name from the Groups List page

At the top of the page, you'll find a summary of the group's details and a contact breakdown by category. Below that is a searchable contact grid with a range of options for managing the contacts within the group.

Contact statuses in a grou

For the details on what each contact status means, please see our definitions here

Manage button

The Manage button in the top right of the page contains options that apply to the group as a whole:

Actions dropdown

Export group: Downloads a CSV file containing information on all contacts within the group.

Edit: Opens the Edit Group panel, where you can update the group name, description, or Featured status.

Delete: Deletes just the group, all contacts will remain in the CRM.

Delete group and contacts: Deletes the group and ALL contacts within it.

Delete group and unassigned contacts: Deletes the group and only the unassigned contacts. An unassigned contact is a contact that will no longer be in any audiences as a result of the group being deleted.

Remove all contacts: Unassociates all contacts from the group without deleting them. You'll be asked to confirm before the action is carried out.

Contact grid

All contacts within the group are listed in the contact grid. This works in the same way as other contact grids across the platform, with the same display and filtering options available.

Adding a contact

Clicking the Add Contact button opens the Add Contact panel. Once completed, the new contact will automatically be associated with the group you're currently viewing.

Importing contacts

The Import button takes you to the contact import wizard, where you can upload a file of contacts to add to your account. Imported contacts can be assigned to the current group as part of the import process.

Custom columns

You can customise which columns are shown in the contact grid by clicking the Field Selection button.

Filtering options

Tick the columns you want to display, untick those you don't, drag them into your preferred order, and click Apply. To revert to the default column layout, select Restore from the dropdown.

Searching and filtering

A search bar above the contact grid lets you quickly find a specific contact within the group. You can also filter by any column using the filter icon in the column header, select your operator and value, then click Filter to update the results.

Filtering a field

The email status column includes an additional filtering layer, allowing you to combine statuses, for example, showing all hard bounced contacts while excluding unsubscribed ones.

Contact status filters

To remove all active filters, click Clear All Filters, which will be greyed out if no filters are currently applied.

Actions

The Actions button contains a range of options for managing one or more selected contacts. To select a contact, tick the checkbox on their row. To select all contacts across all pages in the grid, tick the checkbox in the column header.

Assign to account: Associates the selected contacts with a chosen account. If a contact is already linked to an account, they will be moved to the newly selected one. Not available to all e-shot accounts.
