Our services after the UK leaves the EU

Our services after the UK leaves the EU

The UK is set to leave the EU on 31st December 2020. In light of the upcoming end of the transition period we wanted to provide clarity to our customers on the impact of this change in relation to continued use of our services.

For public sector organisations operating in the UK

We would like to reassure you that there will be no impact to our services as a consequence of the UK’s departure from the EU.

  • All customer data is stored and processed using secure infrastructure hosted in UK data centres.

  • Our Development, operations and Customer Success teams are also entirely UK-based.

  • We provide SMS delivery through a sub-processor, who is also a fully UK based and hosted in UK data centres.

As part of our continued commitment to operational excellence and data security, we maintain dedicated, UK-based infrastructure for all elements of the e-shot platform and our team.

Our mutual obligations in relation to Data Protection are defined in our Agreement with you. If your solution was procured via the G-Cloud frameworks, then this forms part of the Call-off Contract in line with the relevant Framework Agreement.

We would like to reassure you that there will be no impact to our services as a consequence of the UK’s departure from the EU.

  • Our Development, operations and Customer Success teams are also entirely UK-based.

  • We provide SMS delivery through a sub-processor, who is also a fully UK based and hosted in UK data centres.

For organisations operating in the EEA, but not in the UK

We would like to reassure you that there will be no impact to our services as a consequence of the UK’s departure from the EU.

All customer data is stored and processed using secure infrastructure hosted in UK data centres.

Our mutual obligations in relation to Data Protection are defined in our Agreement with you and already cover relevant EU Data Protection legislation, but you may need to check if your organisation requires additional terms to cover the transfer of data from you, to us.

For most businesses, this would involve the agreement of a Standard Contractual Clause, using EU-approved terms.

The Information Commissioner’s Office have comprehensive guidance on this and a tool to help you to understand if this is appropriate to your business:

Please note, this would only be relevant if your organisation is based in the EEA/EU and needs to transfer data to e-shot.
