Net Formation Ltd. t/as Forfront.net is a software house founded in 1998 specialising in the design and development of e-commerce and digital marketing solutions. It provides original and dynamic digital marketing; web applications and e-commerce solutions for businesses.

Back in the late 90s Forfront pioneered an e-mailshot system with open (read/displayed) statistics which has later become the standard for email campaign analysis. A rudimentary but solid system was born. By 2000 the email marketing tool became a popular module of Forfront's Content Management System (CMS) and with growing popularity amongst our first clients, the full potential of a stand-alone email marketing web application became clear and led to the development of e-shot™.

One of e-shot's first users, Yahoo for physicians enabled multiple authors to send multilingual emails to their user groups. e-shot continued to develop to enable organisations to acquire valuable opt-in email addresses and send their clients and prospects regular news, updates, special offers and other relevant information.

The first stand-alone version of e-shot™ was released in early 2001. Four releases later, the current version 5 has one of the most comprehensive targeting engines in the industry. Its architecture gives the user complete control in managing contacts, creation of professionally designed messages and accurately targeting them, all in a simple to use highly available online application.

From the early days Forfront's philosophy was to enable businesses to use the tool as much as they need to maximise their ROI and increase new sales and client retention without penalising the user with per email charges. We have identified that these objectives can only be achieved over long term by maintaining consistent activity and retaining performance data for analysis and improved targeting. E-shot pioneered the pay per container size rather than per email and this is still one of e-shot's USPs.
